Super Banjo World

I was looking back at this old picture in the link that I made a while ago, and thought about making similar pictures.

So I thought, "why not combine my favorite 2D platformer with my favorite 3D platformer?" This was the result.

Banjo and Kazooie in Super Mario World. Several details have changed, but the premise is basically the same as the first Banjo-Kazooie, although instead of the eggs rescued at the castles being birds like Kazooie, they are Jinjos. Other than that, Tooty is kidnapped like Princess Peach by Gruntilda, who functions as Bowser. Her clown car is a cauldron. The koopalings have been replaced with various bosses from the games, one of the them being Konga, the orange-throwing gorilla.

Kazooie is now the Yoshi. She hatches from the blue eggs she could fire at enemies in the original games, and Banjo rides her the same way he does when using the Talon Trot, where Kazooie's legs stick out of the backpack as she runs with Banjo laying on Kazooie's back. The mushrooms have been replaced with honeycombs, and the cape feather still has the same purpose, the only differences being that the feather is now red, and will either allow Banjo to use his backpack like a parachute, or Kazooie to use her wings, depending on whether Banjo is riding Kazooie or not.

The goombas are now termites that were seen in Mumbo's Mountain. I was aiming for an enemy that would seem easy to squash like a goomba, and what better character would fit this than a bug? Bottles the mole will pop out from the blue information blocks when they are hit to inform Banjo of any new details. Mumbo Jumbo's skulls contain the switches that activate the colored blocks in the game as well. Mumbo himself will most likely be the equivalent of Luigi in the game, though he will not be able to use his wand. Currently, I do not have any ideas for what enemies from Banjo-Kazooie could replace the Koopa-Troopas.
